Men are from Mars....

...and women are from Venus. Prior to this posting, I wrote something totally different from what I presented now. I was sad and still sad. I was emotional; on new year's eve. I was presented with two bad news. - Don't know whether I should share these with you guys. Both are about relationships; both, I hope can be saved because I love these 2 couples.

I wouldn't comment because I believe that if they really want to work things out between them, they need to communicate. A 3 years courting and a 10 years marriage are a very precious and significant event that I shared with these couples that maybe it is ME that is having difficulties in letting go........

Life experiences changes us, we become more mature, more competitive, might not be highly motivated by people around us but hey.... God made us different from each other so that we may learn the values of the other person; not so much so that they can be our business partner but our life partner; not so much because they are the one paying the mortgages but they share a roof over their heads where they learn to accept each other being.

Don't walk a head of each other, don't walk behind each other but walk together;with her/him.......

To you - you know who you are.....
Everybody has their own issue but don't make that issue a burden. No one expect you to handle life issues alone, that is why you have US (even though sometimes we are slow - but we always pulled through).

Be still.....

Rombongan Mak Ijah pergi meminang...

It was a memorable day for my brother David last night 19th December 2008, for last night he was engaged to Snah. Our party arrived at the uncle's place@Stutong around 7pm. David presented Snah with 5 trays of gifts or hantaran; a parang, head gears for both couple, hunting gears for David, a pair of rings, a bottle of wine(unlikely the Kayan's culture) and a pair of sarongs for S'nah and the mother. All these cost them around RM2000.00. (I am not complaining)

Did I missed anything?

Here, the party waiting for the 'occasion' to start. The 'hantaran' were laid nicely on the table.

The night started with Pastor Peter DeRun saying the opening prayers and Rev. Trevor Tinda solemnising the engagement.

Exchanging of rings between the couple.

Uniting the union with communion.

The couple - engaged.

Then we finished off with dinner and some entertainment from S'nah's family - dances and Sape playing. Check this photo out. It's me and hubby trying the head gear.

So, wait for the next chapter from me as the wedding planner.....

The tissue issue.

I love Saturday, I have to admit even though sometimes it is no fun without the other half. It is the day when my kids and I will have a lovely day outing with my two brothers and my parents (not in that order). We will have brunch and then car rides. We had ever reached Serian and Serikin...

Yesterday, we were at one eatery, RH Plaza for brunch. I have always love to come here becoz of it's locality and the choices of food especially the Penang Fried Kuay Tiaw and the HotPots - Ikan Masak Asam, Bak Kut Teh, Ka Cang Ma and Pork Leg.

But yesterday was an 'experience' for us. I had laksa and as usual I asked for tissue paper(I get messy with the lime and sambal, always...). The lady said "oh, tidak ada tisu, kalau mauk tisu pergi kaunter; beli 20 sen." I was pissed....

What kind of eatery will serve food without providing a basic needs like tissue paper. It is just like when you are done at the toilet and finding no tissue paper there!!!! Hey come on, is it just your measure to cut cost and make more monies. You are not an inexperience business people. For what I know your family own the 'gallery' next door and you earn a lot making tiles....... Tak kan tisu paper tak dapat provide kot.......

Hey... what goes around, comes around, maybe not your life time.........

Sunshine Day....

Last Wednesday, for the first time in my life (sakainya...) I went to The Coffee Bean with Fiona. Thanks, Fiona for making the time... We were supposed to brisk-walked.... What the heck..... We'll start next year.

I had Mocha and she went for Caramel and we shared a piece of Oreo Cheese - sinful.......

.....and the night before ( Monday night) on the way back from mom's, just becoz the kids slept over at mom's and just becoz....

we went to Starbuck@airport- dating....

I don't know what we had but it was fantastic and we shared a piece of Tiramisu cake..

Well after that, I couldn't sleep....... darn!!!!.

Anyway, let's change the subject.

We went to tHe Spring on Sunday, saja....just to bring the kids out. (It was nice to meet you Amelia and thanks for your support.....). Actually I went there to buy myself a pair of shoe coz it's my yearly entitlement.

Check out the Christmas tree...

Then around 9.15pm, we decided to go home but not before making a stop at the Big Apple......

We decided to wait outside for our ride home coz, I have to admit - my husband love for low and sporty car sometimes do us no good but it is still our car...

I was pissed becoz we had to wait for one hour for him to get out of the parking lot itself!!
It seemed that for no reason people just suddenly think like me!

tHe Spring Management, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR PARKING SYSTEM!!!!!!

The only compensation I had were the donuts....... It was sinful....(in anger - forgot to take photo of those 'nuts')

HfF

It is actually I club I belongs to. What does it stand for? Well for a start, we are a group of people who pull-in our "resources" every month and when we are "rich" enough, we splurge - on food. Hence we call ourselves HfF - " Humanity for Food" (LOL.....). It is just an evening of good food, good companion, good laugh, gossips and sharing. For Catherine's sake, an ex-member who is residing in Oregon, USA - no where in the states you'll get this kind of food...

Enjoy the shots......

As usual, Fiona with loads & loads of stories & gossips.

The mix vege I created with Fiona. (We just threw everything we like)

I recommend this crab with salted egg - my first but not my last

This was how my plate look when I was done... kenyangnya.....
